VOLUNTEERS AND MENTORS REQUESTED FOR PROJECT SECOND ACT™

If you have successfully made a personal or professional transition in your own life, this is the perfect opportunity to pay it forward and support another woman over 40 as she participates in the 6 weeks of the Project Second Act program.

We will match your availability, skills and interests. We have opportunities for:

  • People who only have a little bit of time, but want to do something to help
  • Distribution of program information and recruiting for participants and volunteers
  • Administrative support and website entry and updates behind the scenes (training provided)
  • Instructors and Facilitators who want to lead and share during the program sessions
  • Mentors who will provide a supportive ear to program participants:
    • Mentors are required to attend the first program in either Chicago or Lisle to meet the other mentors and program participants in person
    • Mentors are invited (but not required) to attend any of the additional program sessions
    • Mentors agree to mentor at least one woman during the 6 weeks of the program
    • Mentors and Participants will speak at mutually agreed times up to one hour every other week
    • Mentors will provide periodic feedback on the mentoring program and project and suggest next steps
    • There is no charge to participate as a mentor in the program
